Ep 153: Reach the Heart! Fist of Love

Rokusuke tries to dig his friend out from his grave but the Kurosuki family appears. The team arrive near the village of Katabame Kinzan. Rokusuke is captured and taken to Raiga who wants to have a funeral for him.

The team watches as the villagers mine rocks. Naruto notes it’s not gold but Lee explains that if you mix those minerals with mercury, let it evaporate, it becomes pure gold. An old man collapses from the weight but the Kurosuki members force him to continue. Naruto is about to jump in but Neji orders him to wait. Instead, Lee jumps down and knocks out four of them. The old man is not grateful, instead he asks them to knock him out as well since he’s terrified of the consequences. Then they hear a gong, the funeral bell. The old man explains Raiga has funerals for those who’ve betrayed them while they’re still alive.

Raiga cries openly and grieves at the funerals. Rokusuke’s coffin is carried in. Raiga watches and weeps. The child’s voice warns him the enemies will reveal themselves soon.

The team arrives at the cemetery and Neji uses his byakugan to find Rokusuke. Smoke bombs are thrown at the other Kurosuki members standing around the grave. They are armed with metallic claws that come out from their gloves. Tenten whips out 3stick nunchuck? And takes out a Kurosuki, Neji uses jyuuken and takes out two, Naruto uses kage bunshin and Uzumaki Naruto rendan and take out another three. There are three left. Naruto takes out one and Lee takes out another while the last is hiding behind a tombstone. Lee is about to punch him out when he realizes it’s Karashi. Lee lectures him on curry and life but Karashi is not repentant and says how he wants power. Naruto is about to punch him but Lee knocks him out first and tells him he was stronger before when he made the life saving curry. He asks Karashi to leave the Kurosuki family. Karashi apologizes. The team releases Rokusuke. Neji stares at the mountain above and senses or sees a pair of red eyes. The team climbs the mountain but finds no one around. Mist surrounds them. Lee opens his notebook and reads the mist ninja are especially talented with Kiri-gakure no jutsu. Neji cannot see through the mist even with his byakugan. Neji claims there’s not supposed to be any technique that can block the byakugan.

Ranmaru notes that one of the four can see people’s energies, but he has greater power than he does. Raiga takes out his twin swords. Lightning emanates from the swords and crashes onto the team.

Raiga: "When people are alive, they lie to, hate and betray each other until they die. But at a funeral all the grudges are forgotten." (so true!)

Thoughts:

The person with the child’s voice has stronger powers than Neji and can cast illusions even the byakugan cannot see through which means it may be directly brainwave based rather than light based or normal sensory based.
