Ep 147: Confrontation of Fate! You will not defeat me

Mizuki transforms into a tiger like being. Naruto attacks but Mizuki is now much faster and punches him out. He then appears behind Iruka and lands a chop to his neck but Iruka somersaults away. Tsubaki pleads with Mizuki again but he tosses her away. Iruka catches her in midair but Mizuki appears behind Iruka again and kicks them into a tree. Naruto uses kage bunshin and forms the Uzumaki Ring. Mizuki starts to take out the clones while Naruto tries to attack him from above. But Mizuki is too fast and strong and stomps Naruto into the ground. Iruka attacks but Mizuki avoids his shurikens and grabs Iruka around the throat. Mizuki rants about obtaining power while beating up Iruka. Mizuki throws his large shuriken at Iruka like in ep1 but this time it’s Naruto who saves him. Mizuki powers up some more and now looks more like a tiger.

Meanwhile Ino, Chouji and Shikamaru can no longer hold the Stupid brothers. They are about to attack but then suddenly stop. Shikamaru recognizes it as Genjutsu binding. Tsunade’s arrived! She flicks her fingers at them and they are knocked all the way back. Tsunade says that Mizuki headed off to the mountains beyond the alluvial plains. The Stupid brothers head back to the institution on their own while the team rests before heading to join Naruto.

Naruto continues to get beat up by Mizuki. Pakkun tells Iruka he noticed Mizuki’s power doubled but his reflexes are losing their edge. As Naruto and Mizuki fight, Iruka goes behind Mizuki and flashes his forehead protector. Naruto sees the reflection and taunts Mizuki to follow him. Iruka tells Naruto to fly and Naruto jumps onto a tree branch. Iruka set up a trap around Mizuki with exploding notes Fuubaku Houjin: Sealed Bombs Square Formation. Meanwhile Naruto starts rasengan and drives it into Mizuki’s abdomen. Mizuki’s body deteriorates into a withered old man. Tsunade arrives and explains his cells are starting to self destruct, the medicine was incomplete. The medics arrive and say all the prisoners have been recaptured, Shizune is injured but it’s not life threatening. Tsunade says the medicine was probably created during Orochimaru;s forbidden studies. The medicine takes the identity of animals and infuses people with their genes. But strength is only temporary. Pressure placed on the cells is more than they can sustain. She says that Mizuki can no longer live as a shinobi. Tsubaki says something about starting over but first paying her dues to the village.

Meanwhile Sakura has brought a fish back to life. She runs up to the returning team and tells Tsunade she’s cleared the seventh level. Tsunade thinks Sakura is a machine like Shizune. Iruka thinks about how strong Naruto has become.

Review: A poor ending to a promising start. No Iruka/Tusbaki vs Mizuki action, no Tsunade vs the Stupid Brothers. Tiger Mizuki was lame.

Iruka’s explosive notes trap didn’t do anything.

The stupid brothers calls Tsunade "Great Sister Tsunade" and seem to know her from before she left the village. How long have they been imprisoned?
