Ep 133: Roar of Tears! You are My Friend!

Sasuke is shocked at the power he senses from Naruto and wonders about the red chakra and whether he is a monster. Sasuke asks Naruto, "What the hell are you?" Naruto answers "I’m your friend and that’s why I’m not letting you go to Orochimaru." Naruto attacks with extra speed and punches Sasuke multiple times in the stomach and lands a kick to Sasuke’s jaw. Sasuke jumps back out of the water but Naruto continues to land several blows, and knocks him flat on his back (on top of the water). Sasuke performs the seals for Katon Goukakyuu no jutsu and hits Naruto with a fireball, but Naruto’s chakra repels it and he is unaffected. Naruto lands on top of Sasuke, forcing him underwater where Naruto strikes him again. Sasuke manages to swim back up but Naruto attacks again and throws him against the rocks.

Naruto grabs Sasuke by his collar and tries to talk some sense into him but Sasuke tells him to shut up, "What do you know about me, with no siblings or parents? You were alone from the start! What the hell do you know? We suffer because of our bonds. You don’t know how it feels to lose them!" Sasuke pushes Naruto away and they both fall back to the water but land on top of logs.

Naruto says, "It’s true that I don’t know anything about parents or siblings, but when I’m with Iruka sensei, I wonder if this is what it’s like having a dad (flashback with Iruka and Naruto eating ramen) and when I’m with you if this is what it’s like having a brother (flashbacks with Naruto annoying Sasuke).

Sasuke asks why would he go this far for him. Naruto answers that this is one of the first bonds he’s ever had. Flashback to Naruto and Sasuke as children exchanging smiles. Sasuke puts on his headband and says he’s too late. He splits the log underneath him, grabs a plank and throws it to split Naruto’s log. Sasuke’s sharingan changes from two dots to three and he announces that he’ll now break those bonds. Naruto asks why did he put on the forehead protector. Sasuke says he acknowledges Naruto is strong because he knows the same pain of loneliness and that pain makes people stronger. By breaking those bongs he can attain greater strength. Now they’ll fight as equals but Sasuke says Naruto won’t be able to put a single scratch on his forehead.

Naruto runs toward Sasuke who throws a long plank at him and then follows it with a fire jutsu. Naruto avoids it but with his more advanced sharingan, Sasuke sees Naruto coming and blocks all his blows. Sasuke’s cursed seal starts to activate. He notes that with the subtle way power enters Naruto’s body when he moves the image of his next movement appears clearly.

Sasuke thinks "As long as I have these eyes I can conserve chakra. The cursed seal uses too much chakra" (he does not go to cursed seal level 1). Naruto attacks again but Sasuke punches him in the face and Naruto falls into the water.

Meanwhile Kakashi catches up with Pakkun.

A number of Naruto clones fly out of the water like missiles, toward Sasuke who easily takes them all out. Then one grabs hold of his ankles. It’s a chain of Narutos! They fling Sasuke around and into the rocks. Sasuke blasts out katon ryuuka no jutsu (fire dragon technique) and fires runs down the chain and destroys all the clones. Both Sasuke and Naruto appear to be exhausted, but then Sasuke grabs Naruto, flings him into air and grabs him in a position for a pile driver. He smashes Naruto headfirst into the ground, then Naruto falls and floats onto the water. Sasuke starts to retch. Naruto is completely out of it but the demon fox appears to him and the red chakra envelops his body.

Naruto suddenly gets up and punches Sasuke in the face.

Naruto becomes foxlike and his chakra also takes the shape of a fox and attacks Sasuke again and knocks him back. Sasuke catches another log with his feet and stands on top of it as he did before. He thinks though he can read Naruto’s movements his chakra is moving in a different direction as if the chakra had a mind of its own and he can’t follow it with his eyes. Flashback to encounter between Jiraiya and Itachi. He realizes that Naruto has special powers. Sasuke runs toward Naruto shooting fireballs and Naruto runs on all four towards him, evading all the little fireballs. Then Sasuke uses katon gaukakyuu no jutsu but Naruto runs right through the huge fireball, unaffected. Sasuke notes that the red chakra protected him. He decides to keep his distance. A hand formed from the red chakra tries to grab Sasuke but he jumps out of the way. Naruto continues to attack with the red chakra and finally connects with Sasuke who washes ashore. Then the red chakra becomes a humungous hand. Sasuke barely outruns it and realizes he needs to activate the cursed seal. The hand grabs Sasuke and pulls him toward Naruto who connects a punch. Sasuke is thrown back against the rocks.

Kakashi runs at top speed thinking, Please let me make it in time.

Sasuke gets up laughing and goes to level 2 of the cursed seal saying, "It’s true that you’re special. But you know, I’m more special than you."

Sasuke’s sharingan changes from two dots to three in this ep.

Naruto’s red chakra becomes a physical manifestation.

Thoughts:

If the cursed seal consumes a lot of chakra, don’t you need to have a lot of chakra to start before you can activate it? Sasuke should already be pretty low on chakra after fighting with Naruto for so long.
