47: Infiltration! The Venomous Snake's Nest

Sasuke complains about Oro being late since he was supposed to teach him a new jutsu. Oro says he picked up a present for him, a Konoha shinobi, to reminisce. Sai smiles and introduces himself. Sasuke insults him. Poor Sai says that Naruto hated him from the start but he thinks he'll get along better with Sasuke. Sasuke uses a genjutsu on him and Sai perspires and falls on his butt. Sai thinks how he has no emotions yet by looking into Sasuke's eyes, he called forth things from his subconscious even he can't recognize. Oro tells Sai not to bother Sasuke since he has a temper worse than his (Oro). Sasuke says he's not interested in a loser and wants to train. Sai says Naruto told him a lot about Sasuke and Naruto's been trying to find him for the past 3 years. Sasuke says he remembers him and again asks Oro to train him. Sai persists and says Naruto thinks of Sasuke as a brother. Sasuke says he only has one brother and all he cares about is killing him. Sasuke disappears and Oro tells Kabuto to make a bingo book from the documents Sai gave him. Kabuto opens the envelope and sees copies of files on the Hokage controlled ANBU.

The team arrives at the mountain entrance. Yamato absorbs his clone and transforms it into a seed and asks Naruto to swallow it. He also has one for Sakura, that way he can track them if they split up. He slipped one in Sai's clothes and food at hot springs (flashback to the hot springs and Tsunade telling Yamato to keep an eye on Sai).

Kabuto takes Sai through a maze of corridors. Sai asks to meet others, but Kabuto tells him there's no one else there.

Yamato plans to enter from underground using earth techniques. He performs seals, places his palm on the ground and a hole appears. Yamato, Sakura and Naruto jump in.

Kabuto takes Sai to a room, drops the envelope onto the bed, and lights a candle. He tells Sai to stay there and be quiet if they don't need him then locks him in. Sai looks around then takes out a scroll.

Yamato notes the base is surrounded by stone. Naruto wants to rasengan it, but that would cause too much noise. Yamato finds a crack and creates a twig of wood to apply pressure to form a small hole then large opening.

Sai summons a book with the scroll. Kabuto thinks about compiling the bingo book then realizes he left the documents in Sai's room. Sai flips through the book as Kabuto and the team approach.

End: Konoha Celebrity Report continues on Sasuke. After Sasuke meets Itachi he decides to leave and join Orochimaru.

Review: Yea! We get a glimpse of Sasuke, though he's even more of a jerk.

Notes:
Sasuke doesn't address Orochimaru with "sama" so Kabuto calls him rude.
The seeds are transmitters for tracking, a type of ninja tool that will only resonate with Yamato's chakra.

Earth techniques for infiltration are considered by the book.

Thoughts: Sai's room is Spartan but has a bathroom, which is a good thing since he's virtually a prisoner.
