Gai's team finally defeat their doubles. They rush to rejoin Kakashi's Team.

Sakura and Chiyo also hurry, but Chiyo now feels the effects of the poison.

Kakashi and Naruto continue to follow Deidara. Kakashi is now ready and tells Naruto to back off a bit. He aims his mangekyou sharingan. The area around Deidara starts to distort. His arm gets sucked into a dimensional space. Kakashi missed - he can't yet aim the dimensional barrier accurately. Kakashi tries again, but it's difficult while running and Deidara is in the air. Deidara gets away but then Naruto appears above him in the air with rasengan. He cuts apart the bird. Deidara falls and lands on a tree. Naruto tears the bird apart to get Gaara out. Another Naruto checks on Kakashi.

Sakura and Chiyo follow the destroyed path left by Naruto and Kakashi. Team Gai reunite with each other. Gai tries to contact Kakashi but they're out of range, but Neji sees they've stopped fighting and gotten back the Kazekage.

Naruto uncovers Gaara's lifeless body. Deidara watches from the trees. His left arm was destroyed by Gaara and the right by Kakashi. He can no longer use jutsu. He stops to think that the problem is Kakashi who can use eye techniques on level with Itachi. Naruto appears from behind Deidara and punches him out of the tree. More clones hold him down and pound on him. But after using the rasengan, he finds Deidara was a clay replacement. Naruto turns foxlike in his fury and the red chakra leaks out.

End: Sakura and Naruto host "Answer question session." Konohamaru asks what's under Kakashi's mask. Flashbacks to when the team tried to find out (ep 101).

Notes: Kakashi's mangekyou sharingan uses a different jutsu than Itachi.

Thoughts:
Deidara is not upset at all about losing both arms!
Can Itachi do the same dimensional jutsu as Kakashi?
