Ep 220: Heading Out

Naruto yells at Matsuri to get out of the way. The rest of the team arrives. Naruto gets up but Sakura stops him to heal his injuries. Neji observes there is a powerful chakra flow between the armor Seimei is wearing and the half-transformed Gaara.

Flashback to Gaara’s fight with Naruto. Gaara suppresses Shukaku of his own free will to protect his comrades with his own power. Seimei attacks again with the three dragon heads. Gaara is injured but still manages to smile. He says that he's been planning something while in the cage. He then puts his palms together and calls out Ryuusa Bakuryu (Quicksand Avalanche). Seimei says he has no sand to control but Gaara explains breaking stones and turning minerals into sand is easy for him. Large rocks fall from the cliffs and a landslide of sand covers Seimei while Gaara rises to the top of the sand. But Seimei is still alive and he performs Kujaku Senpuu Sen (Peacock Whirlwind) to rise to the top. He sucks out Gaara's chakra again. Gaara forms a halberd of sand in his hand via Saikou Zettai Hougeki, Shukaku no Houkou (Ultimate Absolute Attack: Shukaku's Spear) and throws it at Seimei. His armor breaks and Seimei falls to the ground. Gaara then performs Sabaku Taisou (Desert Imperial Funeral) to bury him for good. He then collaspes from using so much chakra.

Gaara had suppressed Shukaku with his own will. Kankurou thinks back to Gaara saying he will work hard to be acknowledged by others.

Kakashi and Jiraiya arrive to find they have nothing to do.

In the hospital, Naruto recuperates then wakes to find Jiraiya standing by his bed. Naruto yells at him but Jiraiya tells him he has news of Akatsuki. The camera pans to Gaara who is in the bed next to him.

Shikamaru sees off the Sand team and explains Naruto is leaving with Jiraiya for training. Matsuri asks him to deliver a message for her that thanks to Naruto she understands what Gaara was trying to tell her.

Naruto cleans his room and looks at his genin picture before he leaves.

Tsunade tells Shika he only gets a passing grade on the mission. He explains it's because of his lack of experience. Tsunade says she'll assign him to a lot more missions.

Sakura practices medicine on a fish to make it come back to life. Ino approaches her to learn medical ninjutsu. Sakura accepts her but Ino has to address her as her senior. The two start to fight again.

Tenten beats up on Lee since she didn't get to go on the mission. Choji, Kiba and Shino discuss Naruto leaving to train. Neji and Hinata spar. Neji has her against the wall and stops to tell her Naruto is leaving.

Iruka and Naruto eat at Ichiramen. Jiraiya arrives and Naruto sets off with him. Before Naruto leaves the village, he stops to address the fourth hokage monument. Hinata watches Naruto from behind a pillar and thinks of working hard to keep up with him. Naruto exits the village.

Seimei speaks as if he had planned his own resurrection, but may be it’s Houki's thinking.
Why bring in Kakashi and Jiraiya and have them do nothing?!
