Ep 210: The Forest of Bewilderment

Naruto refuses to hand over Gantetsu and does his usual kage bunshin, but the leader flies up with his umbrella and lands on the cage. He announces ninpou, samidare kekka: ninja arts, result of the downpour. Needles rain down and take out most of the clones. Then he jumps down with his sword, cutting down more clones. He says his technique is not ninjutsu, it’s a killer technique.

Sakura rescues Lee from drowning as he cannot swim. They realize they’ve been separated from Naruto.

The umbrella shoots out wires that restrain Naruto and the captain, but the boat goes over a waterfall before the leader can attack. It crashes and burns.

The Captain has flashbacks again to his little brother being caught by Gantetsu and the roof caving in. He finds Gantetsu and intends to kill him but Naruto appears. The three Shinobazu attack. They run for it into the forest. Naruto is out of breath but the other two are fine (does this make sense?). They plan to make their way through the forest and then to the capital.

Meanwhile, Lee and Sakura try to find Naruto but someone attacks them. They return fire with kunai and injure the enemy who runs off. They follow, thinking the enemy may lead them to Naruto.

Naruto notices something is wrong. They’ve been following the moon but now it’s behind them Gantetsu finally talks and says they are in the Forest of the Lost and the Shinobazu base is here since the mist obscures vision and the strong force field confuses the sense of direction. He offers to lead them through the forest but Todoraki doesn’t trust him.

Gantetsu reveals he had been stealing from the Shinobazu and they don’t want him back,they just want their money back. Naruto says they should take the risk since the Shinobazu will attack them anyway. They come upon a snake. Gantetsu allows it to bite him since he’s used to its poison. Later, they fall into a trap (a large pit) as the ground crumbles underneath them.

The Shinobazu with the claw arm announces ninpou, tsuchi kurenai: ninja arts, crimson earth, and attacks with spinning claw, but the three were not in the pit. They were Naruto’s transformed clones. Naruto uses rasengan but misses. The enemy escapes by digging a tunnel then tries to attack Naruto who also escapes through the tunnel.

Meanwhile, Gantetsu runs off with the Captain in pursuit. Gantetsu stops to listen to the ground then runs a bit away and starts punching the ground. He grabs Naruto out of the ground. Naruo tries rasengan again while in the air but the enemy escapes.

Lee and Sakura are surrounded by a gang of kids with weapons.

The three walk along but the Captain can’t take it anymore and attacks Gantetsu, cutting his arm. He finally tells Naruto that Gantetsu killed his brother and family.
