199: Irrelevant! The Target is Becoming Clearer!

Shikamaru orders Naruto and Choji to collect the plans which are falling from the sky.

Shizune informs Tsunade that what was stolen from the head carpenter is being dispersed in the air. Kotetsu informs them that there's nothing suspicious at the border with Hidden Waterfall. Tsunade recalls the Konoha troops. In her fury she breaks a window. Sakura comes in and tells them the corpse was not Gennou.

Ino relays the same info to Shikamaru. Meanwhile Neji used his byakugan to scan the explosion site. He finds a burrow where Gennou probably hid and escaped. Tenten notes that the tunnel was created so that it would naturally be filled in after a while. Akamaru detects no scent.

Shikamaru thinks Gennou is still in Konoha and everything since has been a diversion and that Gennou set it up knowing that Konoha had the original letter so that he would be found out, and there is something going on internally. Ino says they should be looking at the Academy because its blueprints are missing.

Hinata with Sakura checks out the Academy classrooms from the outside while Neji checks on the inside but they see nothing suspicious.

Naruto and Choji try to get the kids to leave the classroom but they insist on staying so Choji threatens them instead. As he blows up, the kids run away for kunai throwing practice.

Lee, Naruto and Choji observe the kids as they practice. Naruto reminisces about reading manga and taking naps with Kiba, Choji and Shikamaru. Lee says they should be more like those kids who are practicing even when their sensei are not around. Choji notices a post that was not there before. They jump down to examine the new post but then allow the kids to go back to practicing. Meanwhile Neji finds an explosive note in the wall. Naruto runs up to Hinata and asks her to help him out which apparently sounds like he's asking her out on a date. Sakura berates him while Hinata stammers her reply, Naruto is in a hurry and sees Neji so he runs off to ask him instead. Neji sees a thread connected to the explosive note and follows it all the way pass the classrooms, outside to the dojo and then to the post. Naruto tells him about the weird post in the dojo. Meanwhile Lee gives pointers to the kids. Luckily they arrive in time and Lee manages to grab the kunai before it hits the bullseye.

They learn that the kids were tricked into thinking they should practice there in secret. Hinata notices there are more threads. Neji and Hinata see that there's an entire network of threads and explosive tags all over Konoha!
