Ep 191: Death Sentence

The last criminal brother faces off with Naruto. Renga shoots out something that knocks down Naruto and says he has captured his friends and to give up the princess. Renga had planned to get rid of his brothers anyway since a country doesn't need three feudal lords. Naruto refuses to give up the princess knowing that a guy who betrays his brother would never keep a promise. Naruto attacks with his clones and kunai, but they hit an invisible barrier. Naruto escapes with the princess by throwing a smoke bomb. He can now see the invisible barrier. Renga explains he can gather tiny water particles from the vapor in the air to create ice particles. Naruto realizes he had been hit by an ice shuriken earlier and was not able to detect it. Renga starts another jutsu and the sun's rays are concentrated through a lens (ice crystal focuses the sunlight), blasting heat rays. He continues to destroy the forest following Naruto and the princess. Another jutsu produces a snake of ice crystals that can track and watch Naruto and the princess.

Naruto protects the princess' body with his own. They take cover behind a large rock but the ice snake lens finds them. The ice lens blasts the top of the large rock. When the smoke clears only Naruto is there. Naruto insists on protecting the princess even at his friends’ expense. Renga says he's just like the Greenery Country’s feudal lord, an idiotic nice guy, who begged them not to let the people of his country suffer. Under the pressure of powerful nations, even his daughter became a bargaining chip and he sacrificed her for the sake of the country's peace. Haruna learns that her father was killed by Renga. Then lens strikes again and Naruto is knocked back but he gets up and insists that Haruna will lead the country. The princess runs out to protect Naruto. The lens tracks Naruto, but Naruto attacks directly above Renga so that Renga’s hit by his own attack. Renga falls to his knees.

Shizune, Shikamaru, Chouji, Hinata, Yurinojou and Iwaki suddenly appear. Shizune tells them that Haruna is being announced as the new feudal lord. Haruna is about to kill Renga, but then changes her mind and says she's different from him. She cries on Naruto's chest.

Later at Kurinojou's grave, Haruna asks Shizune to lend her Naruto, but Naruto says he has to go back to where his friends are and get stronger. Haruna promises to work hard as well.

Review: One of the worst endings ever! The cavalry arrives and does nothing.

Thoughts:

Renga gets hits once and he’s down for the count. Doesn't seem strong at all.

Where will Renga be imprisoned? Wouldn’t he be executed anyway?
