Ep 189: Underwater, An Inexhaustible Amount of Ninja Weapons

Naruto is still trapped in the bubble and the piranhas attack. Yurinojou tries to break out with shuriken but to no available. Chouji crashes on top of Naruto in his meat tank mode, then attacks Ruiga, but water absorbs his attack and starts to envelop Chouji. Yurinojou uses hana ninpo, hyakka hyouran (Flower ninja arts, chaotic fire drift) and rays of fire fly toward Ruiga, but he is unaffected. His water spheres put out the fire.

Naruto throws 2 kunai with explosive tags but they too are futile. The three run for it. Ruiga summons the piranhas again and they give chase. Naruto splits up but is still chased by the fish. He rejoins his team and tells them he noticed something funny. Yurinojou says maybe it's the tonfa. Chouji notes Ruiga holds it like dousing rods. Yurinojou suggests destroying the tonfa.

Naruto creates clones as Ruiga and the fish catch up. As the clones are destroyed, Chouji and Yurinojou disappear. Yurinojou attacks with shuriken from above but they are deflected by the tonfa. Naruto attacks from above and hits the tonfa directly, breaking them. Ruiga calls up another large bubble, this time with a shark to attack them.

The team runs up a rocky mountain, but Yurinojou trips and falls then Chouji. Water engulfs Chouji and the shark is about to eat him. Naruto motions to Chouji to drink all the water. Ruiga says it's pointless since the water is endlessly drawn from the earth, but Yurinojou tells him this area is dry with no water. Naruto had remembered how he checked for traps in this rocky area but did not run into Ruiga. After a while, the shark flops around and disappears while Chouji blows up to a giant ball. Chouji announces Mizudan Suisha (ballistic waterwheel) and runs over Ruiga.

After his defeat, Chouji returns to normal size. Yurinojou is hurt with broken ribs so Naruto continues ahead to help Hinata while Choji stays with him.

Meanwhile the princess rests and complains about not using the peddlers as decoys and she’s not sorry for Kikunojou's death since Nano Country can still be revived as long she's alive. She tells Hinata about how she was tormented as a hostage and how Naruto's emotions were a failing as a ninja. But Hinata defends Naruto. Haruna realizes Hinata likes Naruto, then she tricks Hinata and hits her from the back, knocking her out (shouldn't Hinata have seen that coming?).

Meanwhile Ruiga's older brother Jiga appears but instead of helping him, he buries him under rock, saying now Nano Country will be split between him and Renga.

Naruto finds Hinata unconscious. She wakes and suggests they return to Konoha for backup since this isn't an official mission, but Naruto refuses to abandon the princess. Naruto asks Hinata to look after Yurinojou with Chouji while he runs off to find the princess.

Naruto's suddenly attacked by a metal ball on a chain. Jiga appears swinging the ball and chain, and holding a sickle. Naruto forms his clones and throw kunai but they are all attracted to the ball. Naruto attacks directly but his kunai are deflected without being touched. The metallic ball gets stuck to his headband and Naruto gets swung around and toss about. He loses his headband. Naruto tries to attack Jiga directly, but he seems to float away.

Hinata searches for Naruto and finds his headband.

Jiga explains that since he was little he drank iron and it accumulated in his body so he can change the magnetic polarity, and the mountain has a lot of metal. He can turn things he touches into magnets such as the rocks behind him. He smashes the rocks in front of him and they break up and fly toward Naruto.

Hinata appears from above but Naruto warns her not to come, then he collapses.

Review: Still interesting.

Notes:

Jishaku ninpo, mugen inseki = magnetic ninja arts infinite meteors

Thoughts:

When Jiga says he drank iron he means he drank fine iron powder as that found in vitamins and baby formula, not molten iron!
