Ep 182: Reunion: The Remaining Time

Natsuhi and Akahoshi face off. Akahoshi’s chakra beast surprisingly has the advantage. But then Natsuhi increases her effort. Sumaru and company arrive. Natsuhi flashbacks to saying goodbye to Sumaru. Akahoshi breaks off from his fight and uses his chakra to bind Sumaru. Akahoshi tries to turn Sumaru against his mother but Naruto explains why she's trying to stop the training.

Sumaru agrees with Akahoshi, that they need the village to be strong to stand up to the other countries. But Neji sees that their chakra is in sync and that Akashoshi is controlling Sumaru and has a kunai poised at his throat. Natsuhi gives up and unseals the tomb to give the star to Akahoshi. Naruto wants to attack Akahoshi but Neji stops him, and says they can't get involved as it's outside their mission duties and they can't betray their client. The star ninja all leave with Akahoshi except Sumaru and Hokuto.

Neji watches over Sumaru and his mother as they recuperate while Naruto, Lee, Tenten and Hokuto gaze out at the stars. Naruto points out Natsuhiboshi and Lee says it's also called Mars. Neji arrives and tells them that if the mother uses that method again she will probably die. Naruto suggests Tsunade's help. They decide to take Sumaru and his mother to Konoha.

Sumaru wakes and flashbacks to his childhood with his mother. She wakes and explains why she left him behind. Sumaru prefers to think that she died and became a star. They both take out their matching pendants and cry. Mother and child reconcile.

Naruto and company arrive to find Sumaru asleep and his mother gone. She plans to destroy the star this time and writes a spell on the star's stand. But Akahoshi and his men arrive. Natsuhi is attacked and impaled by several kunai in her back. She tries to use the peacock technique but collapses. She attempts to write something on the ground in blood but passes out. Sumaru's pendant disappears and it seems that his mother has died.

Akahoshi proclaims himself Hoshikage and says Sumaru, and Hokuto and the Konoha ninja are their enemies.

Sumaru uses the peacock technique and plans to fight Akahoshi.
