Ep 107: I Want to Fight You! Finally Clashed, Sasuke vs. Naruto

Summary:

S akura fusses over Sasuke at the hospital. Sasuke thinks back to Naruto's display of power (rasengan under water) and Aoi taunting him as the weakest Uchiha.

Tsunade says that the Third, the feudal lords, and the examiners were impressed by his match and felt that Shikamaru should be promoted to chuunin. Asuma takes his team out to celebrate. Ino and Choji fight over the last piece of barbecue meat. Chouji expounds on how the last piece is the best and refuses to give it up. Ino is about call him the taboo word but Shikamaru stops her. Asuma thinks "a glutton, one with no manners, and a lazy one, will these guys be okay in the future?" He tells Chouji he should spend more time training. Later Shikamaru is in the bathroom and overhears Ino tell Chouji how boys like thin girls and vice versa. Shikamaru comes out and tells Chouji that boys like girls with a bit of meat and vice versa and that Ino would be more popular if she gained some weight. He makes a face that makes Chouji laugh and say that he's funny and smart and greater than Sasuke or Neji.

Lee tells Tsunade he has made his decision and wants to go back in action right after the operation. She asks why risk his life and he answers that's his dream. Tsunade has flashbacks to Naruto ranting about being Hokage. Tsunade thinks how Konoha has many promising children in it and that Sarutobi was a wonderful Hokage. The operation is to take place after noon.

Sakura brings apples for Sasuke. Naruto makes fun of her for not seeing the knife. Sasuke has flashbacks to Naruto defeating Gaara and Itachi calling him weak. Sakura offers Sasuke a slice of apple but he knocks the plate away and challenges Naruto to fight him and turns on his sharingan. Naruto says good timing he's thought of fighting him too. They go up to the roof of the hospital. After taunting each other, Naruto asks Sasuke to put on his forehead protector. But Sasuke says he doesn't need it and Naruto will not be able to scratch his forehead. Naruto says it's to show they're fighting as equals.

Naruto throws himself at Sasuke but Sasuke blocks and avoids his blows. Sasuke lands a kick and Naruto falls into some sheets. Sasuke pulls the sheets away but Naruto has disappeared. Sasuke jumps up high to look for him. Naruto is standing on a water tank and jumps down toward Sasuke and manages to land a punch. After trading more blows, Naruto uses mass shadow replication and hundreds of clones surround Sasuke. Sasuke takes out a bunch of them then jumps up high and uses katon goukakyuu no jutsu (blazing fireball). He destroys most of the clones but one is helping Naruto start the rasengan. Sasuke starts his chidori. Sakura runs to try to stop them.

Shikamaru gets to wear the chuunin/jounin vest.

Thoughts:

Sasuke's fighting in his bare feet, where are his sandals?

The two ruined the hospital sheets! Don't they have driers, or use some heat/fire jutsu?
