101: Want to Look, Know, and Confirm Kakashi-sensei's Face

Naruto is trying to convince Sakura and Sasuke to get in on a plan to see Kakashi's face. Sasuke walks away but Naruto suggests thick lips. Sasuke has a vision of Kakashi with huge lips then Naruto suggests buckteeth and Sasuke thinks of Kakashi with beaver teeth!

The team takes Kakashi out for ramen. It's unusual so he's suspicious and says maybe it's gong to snow, or the ramen will explode, or he gets hit by a huge boxing glove. Sakura says it's to celebrate his recovery. Kakashi is about to pull down his mask to eat, but then Ino, Shikamaru, and Choji drop by and obscures their view of Kakashi who is already finished! The ramen guy and girI have apparently seen his face and he's blushing and she's got heart eyes!

Sasuke suggests following Kakashi since he'll eventually take off his mask. Kakashi is walking down the street with a large bag of groceries. He walks by Pink (adult) Bookstore and drops his groceries to run over to the store window, giggling like an idiot. The team is watching him from behind a sign when Kakashi suddenly turns around. But Kakashi is just looking at the billboard for Make-out Violence the movie (original work Jiraiya). Kakashi gets so excited he runs to reserve a ticket! The team follows him but he disappears and reappears behind then with his groceries. The team then decide to tail him individually. Kakashi appears to be coming out or walking by the movie theater showing Makeout Violence while reading Make Out Violence. Naruto follows but loses him. Sasuke and Sakura drink something by a chestnut shop.

Kakashi is standing by the Shinobi Memorial in the rain. Sakura's watching and notes he hasn't moved an inch in a long time. Then she runs over to take a look. It's a scarecrow! Naruto and Sasuke are having a drink by the chestnut shop. Sakura gives them an embarrassed look. Next morning Sakura and Naruto have a drink when Sasuke appears and says to stop tailing Kakashi.

The team is going on a mission to do work on a farm. As they leave the village gates they're still plotting to see Kakashi's face.

Three figures are watching and the leader says he finally found Kakashi and will get revenge for what he did long ago. Flashback to spring three years ago: Two men are chasing a girl saying their brother wants to talk to her. An elaborate pulley system brings their brother up He has a rose and proposes to the girl but she turns him down. He persists then Kakashi appears reading Make Out Violence. They are the famous Three Haze Ninja. Kakashi says he's never head of them. They attack Kakashi but he easily ties them up. Kakashi cooly offers to escort the girl back to her village. She takes his arm with hearts in her eyes.

Back to present: They plan to get Kakashi from the shadows, secretly. The team stops by an inn. An elaborate dinner is provided but the innkeeper is the Haze leader and he's poisoned the food to give Kakashi hiccups until he dies. The team is waiting for Kakashi to eat first but he says he's on a diet. Naruto pretends to accidentally spill a teapot on Kakashi who quickly responds by lifting the table end to block it. All the food falls to the floor.

Next, Sasuke's plan is the hotsprings The Haze leader plans to hit Kakashi with a poison dart to make him laugh to death. Sakura is bathing in a separate area so she won't be able to see. Kakashi comes out with no clothes, but still has his headband on and a towel tied around his face! Kakashi bends over and the dart misses and hits a frog. The Haze brothers enter the bathhouse but their clothes are gone! The team leave the inn but the Haze brothers follow. Luckily, they had spare clothes.

The team arrive at the farm and are given their assignments. Naruto's last resort involves dressing as ninjas and taking the mask off by force. They approach Kakashi who's nailing a fence but he recognizes them immediately. The Haze brothers come out and challenge Kakashi with a medicine that will make him shed tears forever. Kakashi easily ties up his team and the Haze brothers drops the bottle in surprise. Kakashi says he was wondering when they would come out, then he asks his team why they're dressed like that. Sakura says to the Haze brothers that they fell into their trap to lure them out. Kakashi's not sure what's going on, but he ties up the Haze brothers the same way as before, but he doesn't remember them.

Finally the team asks Kakashi what's it like under the mask. Kakashi says he doesn't mind showing them what's under the mask. The team waits in anticipation imagining thick lips, buckteeth, and pointy mouth. Kakashi pulls down his mask to reveal another mask!

Review:

Amusing filler episode. At least there's lots of Kakashi.

Notes:

First part is based on the manga special, second part is complete filler.

Kakashi is reading Make Out Violence three years ago. Strange since he was reading Make Out Paradise in the beginning of the series.

Make Out Violence it's rated only R with no ban symbol in this episode.

Thoughts:

Kakashi's body should be scarred considering the amount of combat he's seen. Maybe not as badly as Vash the stampede, but something like that, unless he's got Tsunade's healing abilities.

The question mark like symbol is the Haze symbol, but is that a shinobi village?
