Tsunade is thinking over Orochimaru’s offer, then goes gambling. Orochimaru and Kabuto are discussing - if she cures his arms they can resume the destruction of Konoha, if not they will make her cure Orochimaru by force. But Orochimaru says he’s sure of her decision.

Naruto is training and thinking about Jiraiya’s advice but he can’t retain 100% of his power in a perfect sphere. He keeps practicing all week and has not been back to the inn. Jiraiya goes to see Tsunade and invites her out for drinks. Tsunade slips something into the sake for Jiraiya. She returns to her room where Shizune has brought Naruto back. He’s suffering from exhaustion and his right hand is burned from chakra. In his condition, she says he won’t wake up until the day after tomorrow. She feels stupid for making the bet. Shizune asks her not to go (to Oro) tomorrow but Tsunade does not answer. Shizune says she’ll stop her even if it costs her life. Tsunade angrily asks her, "Do you know who you’re talking to? then walks out and punches her in the stomach.

Next morning sake server guy tries to wake Jiraiya but he falls to the ground.

Oro tells Kabuto to kill Tsunade’s attendant. Flashback to Oro questioning his loyalty. Naruto tries to wake up Shizune, she wakes up upset and asks what time and day is it. Naruto says it’s Monday. She’s surprised that Naruto has recovered so quickly. He says he usually recovers from his injuries after a night’s sleep. Shizune notes he’s the ninetails kid. He hasn’t got the technique down perfectly but he hopes he will in front of her. Shizune is about to leave but someone throws a kunai, she sees Jiraiya. He say Tsunade put something in his sake and he can’t mold chakra correctly, his body is numb and he can’t throw knives correctly. Jiraiya rests and drinks water but says he's only 30% recovered. Kabuto sees him there and decides it’s too much to handle and leaves. Jiraiya asks Shizune what Orochimaru discussed with them. She says they’re short on time so she’ll explain on the way.

Tsunade says to Oro that she’ll cure his arms but not to touch the village. He agrees. Flashback to Tsunade and her brother with groceries, and various scenes, and of Dan Orochimaru approaches her and hold out his arms while she forms a glowing chakra sphere, suddenly a kunai is thrown between them! It’s Kabuto! Orochimaru says you betrayed me at the very last minute… Tsunade!
