Ch 46: The Password is.
The leaf team caught in Kiba's leech trap: "What's wrong? You're as white as a sheet." vs "What's wrong you're turning blue."
Kiba: "The flying leeches of Konoha can sense perspiration and body heat and fling themselves en masse! If you can't get them off your body within five miniutes, you're finished. And if you panic trying to get away from them.well." vs "Leaf village jumping leeches will sense life forms and attack in a group. Five minutes of sucking and you'll be in the next world. Realizing that and setting traps where the enemy might escape to."
Sakura (after Sasuke hits the fake Naruto): ".I appreciate the chivalry, but that was way over the top!" vs ".You didn't have to go that far."
Oboro's constant use of lucky/unlucky is not emphasized: "Since you forced me to come clean, why don't you do the same?" vs "Unlucky!! You figured it out."
"You left an opening - lucky me!!" vs "Yes there's an opening. Lucky!!"
"Better and better. One false move and I'll kill you." vs "Now this is lucky!! Move and I'll kill you."
Poem called "Ninki" - Ninja opportunity vs the nin song "Nin machine"

Ch 47: Predator!!
When Naruto gets eaten: the small panel "Get me outta here.!" The larger panel "It ate me!!" is reversed.
Sasuke: "No it's not death.just an incredible simulation! I looked into his eyes.and he made me feel it and believe it!" vs "No. this is just fear.the killing intent in his eyes is causing us to see an image of death."
Ch 48: The Target is.!!
Naruto: "This guy's a freak. He's a man.but all I can see when I look at him is a snake. Everthing about him.snakey! I'll bet that snake was his!" vs "This guy sure looks like a snake.I see. so it was him behind it."
Sasuke: "Every time I ever tried to rescue us.he's made things worse. But there must be some way to." vs "With him coming to save us.It's not like we are in a better situation. What to do?"
Naruto: "So even if you were Sasuke I'd still be telling you you're an idiot.and maybe a chicken too!" Vs "You're the one too freaked out to understand the situation!"

Ch 49: Coward.!!
"One, two, three.all of them as dead as stone buddhas." vs "One, two, three.three dead bodies."
Grass-nin: ".The demon fox and Naruto's native chakra and psyche have apparently gone from enmity and opposition to coexistence.and are on the very brink of symbiosis!" (huh?!) vs "Naruto-kun's and the nine-tails' chakra re beginning to fuse."
Itachi: "Baby brother you're pathetic. If you want to kill me, settle for hating me until you can! Hate me.and live like the coward you are! Cling to life.without honor!" vs "Foolish brother.if you want to kill me.then hate, spite and survive pathetically!! Run and run.cling desperately to life."
Sasuke: "I've been living with the hope of one day killing my older brother. I thought it was the most important thing.but maybe I'm the one who's been the dunce all this time.Because someone who can't even stand up and do what has to be done at a time like this.wouldn't stand a chance in a fight against.him!" vs "I must survive in order to kill my brother.that's what I believed but I was the one that was afraid.if I can't risk my life here, then how do I expect to be able to kill my brother?"
Grass-nin:"You can see and conceal things with those eyes of yours that Itachi himself never dreamed of!" vs "I sense power in your eyes that surpasses Itachi."
Grass-nin: "I'm Orochimaru the Giant Snake" vs "I'm Orochimaru"
Ch 50: I've Got to .!!
Anko: ".It's my duty. It's what I learned from my greatest teracher ever.what I learned from you." vs "I learned everything from you.I was one of your men and thus."
Orochimaru: ".but that's a doppelganger.since for the time being, it appears you have become one of this village's jonin ninja elite.you mustn't just.squander every secret I taught you." vs ".shadow clone.you are a special jounin of this village.you shouldn't be using all those forbidden jutsu I taught you." (the Viz translation is not differentiating between jounin and special jounin."
Orochimaru: ".I lack the hubris - and the proper number of subordinates to attempt anything of that magnitude!" vs ".I don't have enough men for that yet."
Orochimaru: "I plan to savor this. Three of my protoges have taken the places of three of your own." Vs "About three from my village are also taking part.I'm going to enjoy this." (Looks like the Viz translator got the Dosu team mixed up with the guys who killed and took the place of the grass-nin.)

Ch 51: Beauty is the Beast!!
Lee re Sakura: ".she'll probably make fun of my hair" vs ".she'll call me stuff like Thickbrows"
Shikamaru re Neji: "Stupid pain in the neck.finding us like that." vs. "Man.we've been discovered by the wrong guy."
Ch 52: The Principles of Use!!
Lee: ".I promised when we met.to protect you until death do us part!" vs "I said it before.that I will protect you until I die."
Lee: "This is some kind of illusion, right?! So, I'd be wasting my time ducking as though your attacks were real." vs "There's some trick to your attacks, right? I'm not going to just simply dodge it." (Dosu sound attack is not an illusion!)
Shikamaru: ".Maybe your precious Sasuke is better in theory than he is in practice!" vs "Geniuses can quickly crumble under the pressure of the real world." (the latter sounds a lot more like a smart Shikamaru)
Gai's explanation of lotus taijutsu is more detailed: ".an art that draws its power directly from the energies locked within the wielder's cellular structure.so when you call upon it you're sacrificing a part of yourself."
Lee: "I'm defending the life of someone who means the world to me!" vs "The time to protect a precious person."

Ch 53: Sakura's Decision
Lee grabs his left ear after Dosu's attack. (Fan scanlation has him thinking of his right ear which is wrong.)
Dosu: "It's this appliance on my arms.you see?.it prevents you from blocking my attacks." vs "There's a trick here. You just can't dodge against my attacks."
Dosu: ".the human eardrum - the tympanic membrane - ruptures when exposed to sound levels in excess of 150 phons.moreover, if the sound is powerful enough to upset the liquid within the semicircular canals of the deepest inner ear.it becomes impossible for you to maintain your balance." Vs ".and the human ear drum will break by sounds exceeding 150 MHZ and deeper in the ear lies the inner ear membrance. When this is damaged, you lose your balance." (decibels is a better term than either phons or MHZ)
The picture of semicircular canals is labeled correctly in the Viz version rather than as "inner ear membrane."
In the panel with Sakura attacking Dosu, following Ino's indecision to enter the fray, the words in the Viz version is "Not even I.can beat them" vs "I also.I also can..." (totally different connotations)
Kin: "Lovely hair..so much more bounce and shine than mine has! What ninja technique is that - the art of deep conditioning? You're a disgrance to all shinobi.fussing with your looks when you should concentrate on your training! Zaku.why don't you finish off Sasuke or one of her other fallen heart throbs right in front of this lovesick pig? The least we can do is entertain her!" vs "Much more luster than me.this.pft.trying to be a sexy ninja? If you have the time to treat your hair, then train, you female swine.Zaku kill that Sasuke guy in front of this boy chaser's eyes. Let's teach this one a lesson."
Ch 54: Sakura and Ino
Sakura: "I'd always thought of myself as a full-fledged ninja.proud to be an equal as I trailed after my teammates.crushing on Sasuke and scolding Naruto.watching them.safely from the background." vs "I always thought of myself as a proud ninja.I always said I liked Sasuke-kun.I would lecture Naruto as if I was better than him.but all I did.but all I did was watch you guys from behind."
Ino in flashback: "Everyone always calls you billboard brow and picks on you.you do have a high forehead.so of course you get teased.and you hide behind all of that hair .like a sheepdog.or a shy little ghost." vs "Everyone makes fun of your forehead.so this is the big forehead.so you try to hide it with your hair. You look like a ghost."
In the panel after one of Ino's friends comments on how cheery Sakura is: Ino says "Him! Hah! He just struts around, acting like he's so cool." vs "Bah, she's just hiding her feelings." (neither translation seems to make much sense. Ino would not say that about Sasuke and Sakura is not hiding her feelings.)
