Ch 190: Unforgiveable!! (ep 114)

No flashback scene with Choji freeing a butterfly scene nor Shikamaru following the butterfly.

No scene where the rest of the team carve a message on the tree, only Shikamaru is shown carving an arrow.

No butterflies around after Choji takes his last pill.

Shows Choji concentrating chakra into his left hand (but he's normally right handed) before Jiroubou attacks again rather than after knocking him down.

Ends with Choji punching Jiroubou with all his might.

Ch 191: Friends (ep 114-115)

Choji does not pick up his headband or follow a butterfly to the tree, he just walks over there. The tree is marked with only an arrow no comments from Naruto or Kiba.

Ends with Neji attacking Jiroubou from behind.

Ninpou kumonenkin - golden spider spikes or spider threads

Ends with Neji saving Naruto.

Ch 193: Game Over (ep 115)

No long speech by Neji about the bond of ninjas from Konoha, no flashbacks to the Third Hokage's funeral.

Kidoumaru says he heard of the jyuuken from Orochimaru.

In the anime, Neji actually runs along the pole shot out by Kidoumaru, in manga it's unclear.

Ends with Neji about to use his 64 strikes.

Ch194: Probing Each Other (ep 116)

No significant differences.

Ends with Neji's kaiten stopped by the spider threads.

Ch 195: Strategy!! (ep 116)

When the spiders fall on Neji he uses 64 strikes and does not switch to 128 strikes.

Sakon and Tayuya discussion takes place earlier rather than at the end.

Neji does not have flashbacks to Hinata, Lee, Naruto.

Ends with Kidoumaru aiming his arrow.

Ch 196: The Strongest Foe!! (ep 117)

Neji is not shown pulling the spikes from his back while running.

Ends with Neji being pierced by the arrow.

Ch 197: Unyielding Determination (ep 117)

Not shown if Neji hit Kidoumaru multiple times, appears to be just once.

Ends with Neji saying how he's a genius so he can't lose.

Ch 198: Metampsychosis.!! (ep 117-118)

Metampsychosis = buddhist term used for the transfer of life from one body to another

Neji does not reach for his forehead protector (makes more sense since it should be elsewhere at this point).

Shikamaru does not mention having to reach the enemy before nightfall or waiting till the morning. No discussion of night strategy.

No flashback to the sealing of Orochimaru's arms.

The prisoners are only seen in shadow.

Ends with Kabuto saying the last prisoner standing will be released.
