Ch 145: Memory of Despair (ep 84)

Anime has additional scene of Sasuke's mom hanging lanterns.

Manga does not have Sasuke talking to an aunt and uncle or scenes at the academy or shuriken practice.

Manga doesn't show Sasuke taking off his sandals and searching the main house,

When Sasuke reaches the doors to where his parents' bodies lie, Itachi (presumably) calls out "Sasuke.don't come in."

Itachi is not shown killing everyone in detail.

Ends with Sasuke finding Naruto and saying "I will kill you" to Itachi.

Ch 146: Hatred.!! (ep 84)

Kisame says "Itachi I advise you against using your eyeso many times in a single day." In anime he says that Itachi is being cruel as usual to use Tsukuyomi on his little brother.

Ch 148: Itachi's Chakra (ep 85)

Jiraiya notes ".the flames were ignited from the inside of the iwagama which scorched its flesh."

Jiraiya seems to be less pissed about Gai's attack than in the anime.

Ch 150: Start of the Training. (ep 86)

When Naruto takes out his wallet, Jiraiya says " .Sure is a lump sum of money you have there! Just like a government official."

Jiraiya gives Naruto $30 (300 ryou in the anime, $30 sounds about right)

Ch 151: Chance.!! (ep 87)

Starts off with Naruto getting up in the morning with pain in his hand. He goes to the bathroom and watches the toilet flush. Naruto's training and Jiraiya's explanation occurs as a flashback while in the anime, the scenes occur sequentially.

Does not show Jiraiya having drunk several gourds of liquor.

Ends with Naruto popping the water balloon over Jiraiya.

Naruto explains his technique to Jiraiya in their room rather than the restaurant.

Ch 153: Explorers! (ep 88) nice pic of the young 3 sannins

Scene with Orochimaru comes first in the anime then the scene with Jiraiya and the concentration mark.

Ends with Tsunade getting triple 7s at the slots.

Ch 154: Arrived.!! (ep 88)

In flashback to Iruka, doesn't show the slackers running off at the end of his lecture.

Ends with Orochimaru destroying the castle and appearing before Tsunade.
